The service was attended by the arresting officer of the person charged with Phillip's murder, Sgt. David Edmonds (first picture) and backup officers (second picture) Kelly Nichols (right) and Troy Simmons (left) of the Shelby County Sheriffs Department. Mary Powers and Jim Weber were also on hand to record the event for the Commercial Appeal Newspaper of Memphis.

Phillip's daughter Stephanie read a poem which is located on this site that was written by Shelly (far right) her twin sister just before Phillip's death. Jamie (Phillip's brother) poses with Stephanie and Shelly in the picture on the right.
