On October 14, 2000 family and friends of Phillip Ray Dover gathered to hold a 2nd anniversary memorial of Phillip's death. The location was the riverside of the Mississippi river outside Memphis, Tennessee. Here family and friends alike showed their respect and feelings of loss to Phillip Dover murdered October 18, 1998. The service was finalized by family and friends placing notes, poems or other items into a bottle that was then tossed into the river to make its way toward the Gulf of Mexico. Anyone finding the bottle as it makes its journey south is asked to reseal the bottle after sharing the contents, and place it back in the water to continue its journey.
